Visiting

Welcome Home!

If you are visiting us for the first time; Welcome home! We're so glad you've joined us. We know that it can be a little intimidating going to a new church so we wanted to let you know what to expect at our Sunday morning worship service.

The service starts at 10:00 and usually lasts around 90 minutes. The dress ranges anywhere from casual to suit and tie as you'll find is common to most places in Alaska.

We start worshiping by singing a few songs. Then, on the first Sunday of each month, we take communion together and you only have to be a believer in Jesus Christ to join us in communion. Then our pastor brings the sermon that God has placed on his heart. Then we have a time of response where you can come to the front and pray and be prayed for or sing along with the worship team. Lastly, we receive the tithes and offerings. As our guest, we ask that you don't feel obligated to give but please fill out the connection card that you will find in the seat in front of you and drop it in the offering basket so that we can connect with you after the service. Then we are dismissed and everyone hangs out, talking and eating whatever sweet treat is provided.

If you have kids they are always welcome to sit with you during the service, but we have classes for all of them. There is a nursery down the hall past the restrooms for newborns through 2 years. For the 3 to 5 year olds, there is a class to the right at the bottom of the stairs. Kids in kindergarten through 4th grade, take a left at the bottom of the stairs and you'll find our Kids For Christ (KFC) program. All of these classes start at the same time that the worship service starts and kids can be signed in 10 minutes before the start of service. Classes run through the entirety of the worship service. Most weeks, there is a class for 5th and 6th graders that is dismissed at the start of the sermon and runs until the end of the service.

Please don't hesitate to ask any of our ushers for help if you have any questions and enjoy the service!
